In 2019, The Women’s Legacy Project at The New School unearthed archival materials to celebrate the University’s Centennial. Led by Gina Luria Walker (Executive Director, The New Historia) and Ellen Freeberg, with collaborators Stefania de Kenessey, Cecilia Rubino, Savanna Washington, and a cross-section of students and administrators from around the university, the group researched "The Founding Mothers" who with ten men envisioned the creation of “a new school” amid extreme domestic and global tensions.

The New Historia presents seven videos produced by The Women’s Legacy Project that document inspiring stories of women and men collaborating to form a new approach to education.
