Michelle Beer is a lecturer for Purdue University Northwest and an independent scholar. She received her Ph.D. in History from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in May 2014. Her research focuses on sixteenth-century British queenship, and currently she is working on a forthcoming monograph, Queenship at the Renaissance courts of Britain: Catherine of Aragon and Margaret Tudor, 1503-1533, which will be published as part of the Studies in History series by the Royal Historical Society. She lives and works in Oakland, California.
