Elizabeth Pallitto


Tullia of Aragon

A scholar of Early Modern Women, Elizabeth Pallitto has completed a PhD in Comparative Literature and the Master of Information degree from Rutgers University in May 2021. She has published numerous articles and a book on the sixteenth-century poet Tullia d'Aragona, entitled Sweet Fire: Tullia d'Aragona's Poetry of Dialogue and Selected Prose (New York: Braziller, 2007). This book, the first English translation of d'Aragona's 1547 Rime, includes poems and prose by and to this early modern poet. Elizabeth has contributed articles on various Renaissance women to the essay collection The Invention of Female Biography (ed. Gina Luria Walker, Routledge), FB Project, Project Continua, and The New Historia.
